This is a nice barebones card for the person who just needs an affordable alternative to a credit card. This card from Vision offers all of the standards that you’d expect, but it doesn’t have much more. This isn’t that bad though since the fees are very low. This is still worth a look, even if it’s lacking some of the bells and whistles of the other cards.
As I’ve said, all of the basics are there. You have free direct deposit options if you want reloading to be easier. It is compatible for online bill payments and it will work with about a million ATMs. The card can also be funded through online sources, such as Paypal. They will send free alerts to you in the form of emails or text messages, so it is easy to keep up with your account information and watch for fraud. As usual, a bad credit score means nothing. The card is available to anyone. The one nice extra that it has is that anyone in the family can get a second card for you to easily share funds throughout your family.
It may not seem like much, but this can easily be the most affordable card for you to use. They offer unlimited purchases of any kind for the weekly charge of 95 cents. Not to bad considering the rates of similar providers. This charge will disappear entirely if you set up a direct deposit account. There are no annual fees or monthly fees in place (well, they’re there, they just spread it out in the weekly charges). The point is that you will effectively have a card without any significant fees if you use the direct deposit option to reload your card. Throw in the fact that there isn’t a fee to sign up, and you have one cheap card.
This card from Vision may not be too spectacular, but it may be the best option for you. If you just want a prepaid credit card to make your life a bit easier, then this may be a good option to look into. It may not have a savings account or overdraft cover or a nuclear reactor, but if you don’t want any of that then this could work.
