I’ll go ahead and mention at the start, that this is also available in the “BabyPhat” version. If you are fashion savvy enough to understand what that is, then you might want to get that version and look cool. It is effectively the same card though. This is a very interesting card that I’m not really sure about. It offers a lot of different options, but you’d really have to crunch the numbers to see if it is the best.

Let me just start out by covering all of the basics that the card can do. It has the standard offerings of no credit checks, free options for direct deposit, and good support for paying bills online. There are 855,000 ATM machines that support withdrawals through the card. There are some really nice steps that they take to make things a bit easier for you. They not only support free direct deposit reloading, but also free reloading through Paypal transfers, and free reloading even if you mail in a check. If you are in a pinch you can reload it at any MoneyGram or CheckFree location throughout America. Since these are often located in Wal-Marts, I’m sure you’ll be able to find one.

Most of the benefits just come in their fee structure though. They are one of the only prepaid credit cards that do not charge you for using their customer support. It may not cost much, but it is really frustrating to pay 50 cents just to find out how much is left on your card. The fees are pretty different from anything that the other brands offer. There is a $19.95 activation fee and a $1 charge for every purchase you make. But there is no set monthly fee. If you don’t make any purchases for the month, then the card costs nothing. Heavy shoppers shouldn’t fret much either. There is a $10 cap on all of your transaction fees. Every charge after the $10 is recycled as part of the cash back program.

This card is not going to be right for some people. The high activation fee and charge per purchase might be too much for some people. The big bonus just comes from the fact that you won’t be drained through reload charges and customer service fees. You’ll get exactly what you’d expect. A dollar per purchase with a cap of $120 a year. That’s pretty reasonable. It is definitely something to keep in mind if you want a serious prepaid credit card.
